The primary aim of this initiative is to eliminate period poverty among young girls and teenage mothers. Period poverty refers to the inability to afford sanitary products, which can lead to significant health and hygiene issues, as well as missed educational opportunities. To combat this, Ecoflo Initiative provides training to girls on how to create their own reusable pads. This not only provides an affordable and sustainable solution to period poverty but also empowers the girls with knowledge and skills. The training includes instructions on how to use and care for the reusable pads, ensuring that they are a safe and viable option for the girls.
